Launch a work version
=====================

You have 3 options to launch a work version:

  - :ref:`From the launcher widget`
  - :ref:`From the work versions tab`
  - :ref:`From the project tree`

.. warning::
  Don't forget to setup your software preferences to launch a work version, else you will get an error, 'Software path not defined'

Go to the launcher widget

Then choose a version and click on launch

Go to the work versions tab.

Then double click on the version you want to launch, or Right click > Launch version

.. note::
  When you select a work version in the work versions tab, it changes the current version in the launcher widget.

Go to the project tree.

Then double click on the selected stage, or Right click > Launch stage.

.. warning::
  When you launch a work version from the project tree, it launch the default variant, default work environment and last version.
  If you need to choose your variant, work environment or version, don't use the project tree to launch your version.
